Spa and recreation center "Kulasi" is 12 km away from Prnjavor, on the road route Prnjavor - Doboj - Teslic and rail route Sarajevo - Doboj - Banja Luka - Zagreb.



The spa is situated in the pleasant valley of the river Ukrina, in the region with continental climate and it has got a hundred year old tradition as a thermal spa.

The natural therapeutic waters in the area were firstly used by Romans. They particularly appreciated hot sulfur water, as well as other hot springs. They built impressive buildings with therapeutic structures (pools and baths, decorated with mosaic and fountains) for the aristocracy, ill and wounded warriors. That these waters were widely used also tells us the fact that they were used throughout the year, and for that purposes, Romans laid down the floor pipes from which they released hot water.

There are only three such water springs in Europe. The unique feature of the water, beside the other ones, is psoriasis treatment.
